1.We run a purpose program: This program helps young people identify and pursue their purpose, by connecting them to Jesus and renewing their minds so that they can identify and pursue the purpose of God for their lives (Romans 12: 1-3). By transforming the heart and empowering young people with the values, mindset and focus they need to achieve, we aim to raise a generation that is rooted in Christ, grows in grace and impacts their generation like David did (Acts 13:36)
- Tuition: We run a Tuition and Youth Engagement Centre, aimed at supporting young people from year 5 in primary school to year 11 in Secondary School. That is kids from 10years old to 16 years old, we also offer counselling and support for 17 to 18 year olds. We provide tuition every Saturday during term time from for 3hours from 10am to 1pm. The tuition sessions Cover Maths, English and Science.
The immediate need now is to help close the gap in knowledge for students who have fallen behind in their studies in the core subjects of Maths, English and Science. We provide these services in a socially deprived area (Tottenham) , were many students fall behind in their learning because of Poverty and other social problems linked to Poverty. Therefore, our aim is to close the gap by building social capital and providing the extra support that these young people need. We Provide the sessions below at the venue in Tottenham and online through Zoom, to enable students who live far away from the venue to also have access to the sessions.
Key Stage | 10am to 11am | 11am to 12noon |
KS3 | Science | Maths |
KS4 | Maths | Science |
The Progress of each student will be monitored using Free Learning Platforms like SENECA Learning. We will also get feed-back about the sessions delivered through online feed-back systems like google forms. The feed-back from these sessions help us adjust our provisions to address misconceptions and remove barriers to learning.
Our Centre also be runs workshops on how to avoid Gangs and Gun crime. We also run workshops on identity, potential, purpose, Aspirations, Christian Values and British values.
On the 9th of September 2023, we hosted a Conference to train parents on how to support their children at home so that their children can achieve academically and fulfil their potential. The Conference focused on training parents on how to use information on their child’s School website and other free platforms to support their children. It was also the starting point for an ongoing collaboration between Church, home and school to ensure the students achieve. With many parents in this borough being first generation migrants, there is a significant lack in the basic knowledge of English, Maths and Science and how the UK educational system works. We believe we can play a vital role in developing parents, so that they can support their children. We also run a ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Centre, we think these two centres can work together to support each other where necessary. The Conference was attended by about 75 parents and Students.
This Conference has been repeated each year since 2023, with great attendance from both parents and Students.
